Film related smiles

More reasons to love the internets. You ramble around it and find lovely creative people just doing stuff for their own amusement.
First up, Three Frames. Hypnotic.

Next, Ilovehotdogs. A film captured in a few screen shots.
(Skatetown USA)

Movies In Frames. One movie, four frames.
(Point Break)

Screenshots. Someone who has screen-grabbed the title of every movie he’s ever watched. Wow.

Quote Post
August 4, 2009
When asked (at some imaginary dinner party) for my favourite quote my prepared response is Wilde:
“Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone elses opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation”
Wry hey? Not really. Just pretenious.
I’ve got back into ffffound again and have been drawn to the recent mass of quotes made pretty that have been popping up all over the place.
Here are a few of my favourites.

No escaping it, we are as beautiful and easily led as cows. Dancing cows. Moo.
Thanks to Mattyboomboom and @herdmeister

Today I’ve listened to 21021 tracks since I joined last.fm. And the 21021th was I am an astronaut, the most loveliest Snow Patrol track. Isn’t that nice? I like symmetry. Symmetry in numbers makes me especially happy. Small pleasures.

Listening to a website
April 9, 2009
I read a post called my internet a few months ago that made me think a lot. Made me think a lot and get a little bit more annoyed at bad user design and information architecture that I would have done ordinarily.
So what is my internet? My internet is one that doesn’t blast me with music when I land on a website. It’s also one that let’s me choose my own pA33woRd, and never ever resizes my browser. There’s lots more my internet is and isn’t – and each person’s internet is different. I find talking to IAs such as the brilliantly prolix John Gibbard is the best way of getting tips of how I can improve my internet. Try it… go look at someone else’s internet and see what you find out.
But back to listening to a website. I hate websites, flash websites especially, that have a soundtrack that automatically plays and plays loud. You know the ones: edgy, sports or lifestyle bollocks. One that cost 1million pounds and has no intrinsic use what so ever to anyone except to look pretty, load slowly, and annoy most of it’s visitors. However, I have been listening to a website all morning. Glade. Their soundtrack is awesome. Hardly surprising given they’re a dance music festival.
Anyone else found a nice website to listen to?
Tattoo tester
March 25, 2009
I’ve been thinking long and hard about getting a tattoo. Josh Beech may have spurred me on a bit. I do this every couple of years but this time I’m pretty sure of what I want now. Although I haven’t found the right font, I know what I want written. It’ll be in French. Get me.
But, most tattoos I’ve seen on other people look shit*. That’s probably because I don’t like tattoo art. However, instead of tattooing myself in helvetica or some other design wankery font, I thought I might make my own. And test it with this.
trouble is this doesn’t exist. But it’s a lovely concept bootifully executed.

Boys

Boys I love a little too much. Guy, Noah, and ol’ Russ.
Delicious vampire from the pilot of being human: Guy Flanagan

I’m hoping he’s a self googler this Guy Flanagan from Being Human because… well… oh my god…
Airborne Toxic Event’s Noah. On the right.

Noah doing some speaking.
Russell Brand. I don’t love him. In fact I slightly detest him. But he’s quite intoxicating. A guilty pleasure alright? Don’t judge me.
I saw him last night. Here he is
